Honorary Director
Maxwell A. Cameron teaches political science at the University of British Columbia. His research and publications are in the area of comparative politics, especially democratization in Latin America. He hosted the weblog Peru Elections 2006, and recently co-organized a workshop on Latin America’s shift to the left in the Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies at UBC.

Hugo Passarello Luna was born in Argentina. He was a recipient of the Global Citizen Award to study International Relations and Media in the University of British Columbia, Canada. Previously he attended Lester B. Pearson (United World College). He worked as a research assistant for various professors and in 2006 participated in the project Peru Elections 2006 directed by Dr. Maxwell Cameron.

Héctor A. Vanolli was born in Salta, Argentina. Among other positions, he worked for several years as a Specialist within the Unit for the Promotion of Democracy of the Organization of American States (OAS). There he performed different roles, including Chief of Mission (Electoral Observing Mission in Nicaragua), Joint Chief of Mission (Guatemala) and General Coordinator of the Program of Democratic Values and Polical Management (Guatemala). He holds a Master in International Relations and Communications from the Boston University (BU), USA.
Santiago Mariani is Argentinian. He studied International Relations at Universidad del Salvador. He was awarded a scholarship from Fundación Carolina to pursue postgraduate studies in Spain. He has participated in various eletoral observation missions with the Organization of American States.
Vanessa E. Passarello was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She graduated with International Baccalaureate (IB) granted by the non-profit educational foundation of Switzerland and High School Diploma with specialty in Science and Humanities (BB). She later graduated in Public Relations and has worked in the private and in the public sector.
Miguel MarianiBorn in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Journalist. He worked in AM 550 Radio Colonia and in AM 1070 Radio El Mundo and he has also written for various internet sites. Currently works in CADENA ECO.
Yanina I. Bocanera was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Currently she is about to graduate in Political Science at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. Among other activities, she actively participated in Ciudad Política, a website devoted to spread Political Science as an autonomous discipline; and in an electronic vote operation held in Buenos Aires. In addition, she also collaborates in several research projects in comparative politics and international relations.
Sofia Butler was born in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is currently finishing Political Science at the University of Buenos Aires, specializing in Latin American Politics.
Magalí Ricciardi Yakín was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is a journalist and is currently studying International Relations at Universidad del Salvador. She worked in the area of media and communication (newspapers, radios and NGOs) and as an assistant to civil servants (in the Cabinet of National Ministers).
Charlotte Julie Rault was born in France. She is studying political sciences in Sciences Po Paris (Political Sciences Institut) with a Latinamerican specialization. She was one of the student who wrote the “Atlas de l’Amérique latine” (Ed. Autrement) in 2005 with Mr. Dabène, director of the first cycle Latin America, Spain and Portugal. She is currently studying in Buenos Aires for its third year.
Maria Urioste was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is currently studying Political Science with Public Policies orientation, at the Buenos Aires University
Lucas Parera was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He´s currently studying Sociology at the Universidad del Salvador and has been envolved in several investigations concerning economic sociology and sociology of organizations.
Rachel Wolf was born in San Francisco, California. She is a Public Policy major at Duke University, with a focus in political marketing and communication. She is currently spending the semester in Argentina, studying at the University of Buenos Aires and the University of Salvador.
Tara Shabahang was born in Los Angeles, California, United States. She is a Political Science and Spanish double major at Amherst College in the U.S. She is spending the current semester in Buenos Aires, studying at the Universidad Católica Argentina and the Universidad del Salvador.
